As you know, we were admitted to the hospital through a surprise visit to the ER on Wednesday. Brooks had a persistent low grade fever and because he has almost no immune system (ANC 0.01) we had to come in for some support from modern medicine. We don't know yet what is causing the fever. It could be a virus, bacteria or just the way his body responds to his incredibly low blood counts. We are receiving a steady dose of intravenous antibiotics. Brooks is still pretty scared ...
